Causes of Hair Thinning: Losing the volume of the hair is distressing. As per the scientific findings, losing 50 to 100 strands of hair daily is normal. However, when this number rises, it may lead to permanent hair thinning. Some of the major causes of hair loss include the following: Hereditary:  It is one of the primary reasons for hair loss, which leads to a male and female pattern of baldness. केस प्रत्यारोपणच का?

वाढते शहरी प्रदूषण, व्यस्त जीवनशैली व रसायन फवारणी युक्त जेवण(अन्न) ह्या अशा अनेक कारणामुळे केस गळणे हे सामान्य झाले आहे. डॉ. मनोज बच्छाव नामांकित प्लास्टिक सर्जन यांनी ह्या विषयावरील सर्वसामान्य प्रश्नाची उत्तरे दिली आहेत. केस का गळतात?                Male Pattern baldness  हा सर्वसामान्यपणे पुरुषांमध्ये होतो. हे सामन्यात: पुरुषी हार्मोन्स Testosterone हे DTH ( Dihydro testosterone) मध्ये रुपांतरीत होते. ह्या DTH व वंशपरंपरागत जनुके (Genes) ह्या दोघांच्या एकत्रित परिणामाने केस गळतात. सामन्यात: अशा प्रकारचे केस प्रामुख्याने टाळूच्या काही भागातच होतो, त्यामुळे अशा प्रकारच्या टक्कल असलेल्या लोकांना केस प्रत्यारोपनासाठी लागणारे केस टक्कल नसलेल्या भागातून यशस्वी पद्धातीने काढून प्रत्यारोपण करता येतात. केस प्रत्यारोपण म्हणजे काय? केस प्रत्यारोपण म्हणजे केसांचे कलात्मक पुनर्वितरण यात प्रमुखत: टाळूवरच्या मागील भागातील केस कलात्मकतेणे टक्कल असलेल्या भागात प्रत्यारोपित करतात. जिथे जास्त संख्येत केस आहेत, तिथून आम्ही केस काढून जिथे गरज आहे अशा टक्कल असलेल्या भागात टाकतो.       केस प्रत्यारोपण मध्ये दोन प्रकार आहेत. 1) FUT (Follicular unit transplantation) 2) FUE (Follicular unit extraction) FUT – यामध्ये केस जिथून काढतात तिथून केसांबरोबर स्कीनची स्ट्रिप (पट्टी) काढली जाते. व ती जागा टक्क्यांनी शिवली जाते. ह्या पध्दतीचा प्रमुख मर्यादा म्हणजे दाता जागेवर व्रण येतो.
